Kiné Fischler, LAc, FABORM, is a master acupuncturist and medical herbalist specializing in women’s health, fertility and pregnancy care.

Master of Science In Oriental Medicine, 2007 from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA

Nationally Board Certified in Oriental Medicine: Acupuncture and Herbology.

Kiné continued with a post graduate specialization in Oriental Reproductive Medicine becoming certified as a specialist in fertility acupuncture and has the distinguished honor of being a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. She is a proud member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, building professional relationships with Reproductive Endocrinologists to offer integrative care for our mutual patients.

Kiné comes from a family of physicians and nurses, she grew up with medical discussions around the dinner table. She always knew she wanted to pursue a career in medicine, but wanted to offer more than typical conventional care.

As is the case with many Chinese Medicine practitioners, her passion for traditional holistic natural medicine came from her own healing experience with this traditional health care. As a teenager, she suffered with painful digestive issues that were not resolved and only got worse with conventional treatment so she went seeking alternative solutions. In the spirit of a curious teenager, she was willing to try something different to stop the debilitating pain. After 3 acupuncture treatments, she was amazed that she felt better than she ever had felt on any medication and was totally hooked on acupuncture and Chinese Medicine!

Intrigued to learn more about this amazing medicine, she traded babysitting services with her acupuncturist in exchange for treatment observations. It soon became clear that this was her path in medicine and would one day pursue a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) graduate school program.

Until then she always incorporated East Asian medicine and acupuncture with conventional medical care for her own personal health along with offering her unsolicited herbal remedy advice to anyone who would listen!

Kiné’s mission is to coach each patient with knowledge about their body's natural abilities to heal with easy to do tweaks to diet and lifestyle, stress management and correcting nutritional deficits. She treats the symptoms while getting to the root cause of health issues to offer sustainable transformation back to balanced health.

Her clinical focus is OB/GYN, Reproductive Medicine, and internal medicine with a foundation of whole systems family medicine. Her goal is to empower women of all ages with information about their reproductive and hormonal health, taking a holistic approach which recognizes the vital connection of our emotional and physical selves.

There are natural solutions for the challenges of hormonal fluctuations - and it is Kiné’s belief that women do not need to accept suffering as a normal part of the changing phases of their reproductive lives.

Along with women's health, she effectively gets people out of pain quickly with acupuncture. As a student intern, she had the distinct privilege of working with elite student athletes recovering from injuries with the University of California at Berkeley's Sports Medicine department.

Acupuncture immediately decreases pain and speeds up recovery time when integrated into care from sports injuries, auto accidents, surgery or repetitive stress syndromes. Acupuncture, along with other East Asian medicine modalities, offer patients drug free pain relief so they can get back to enjoying their active lives.

Kiné also has a background in film making and loves to escape the rain by sneaking off to one of Portland’s many old school theaters to catch an independent film..and perhaps the occasional romcom. Of course, she can’t get enough snuggles from her two quickly growing boys. Weekends are filled with hiking and biking the PNW, foodie adventures in dining and continued studies in medical herbalism - she is an herb nerd for sure!
